Mom and I
Family <3
Her story goes a lil like this,
July 12, 2008 Paula (my mom) was on her way to the river to meet up with her friends for a relaxing weekend at her favorite place. Paula and her friend pulled over to talk about where their friends might be and as Paula was walking away from her vehicle she stepped into a cut of the road that she didn't see. She fell 56 feet and was laying there for 4 hours before she was life flighted to the hospital. The accident left Paula as a quadriplegic for the last 4 years of her life.
Paula touched many people's hearts throughout her life. She was a loving, caring, free spirited person that would give her shirt off of her back to anyone in need. If you knew her from Council you probably remember walking through town, in the dead of winter, in her shorts and most of the time in her flip flops.
Paula's wishes were to be cremated. Her family has decided to spread part of her ashes at the Salmon River so she can be with her friend Lenore Lawrence. The remainder of her ashes will be spread at the High Dive along with her grandparents Roy and Charlette Newman and her aunt and uncle Earl and Kate Upah.
She is survived by her father Leon Newman, her stepmother Pedo newman, her brothers Jeff Howard and Mike Newman, her sister in law Brenda Howard, her sons Cory and Aaron Schuck, her daughter Amanda Ward, her grand children Aiden, Shealyn, and Jaymon.
There will be a memorial service held at the Council High school in Council, Idaho on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
